Challenge

Challenge Flaming Fowl approached us with a passion for creating a hot sauce specifically crafted for chicken wings. Our mission was to develop a brand identity that felt fresh, spicy, and packed a serious punch. Beyond the core branding, the project required high-impact social media assets and a loyalty reward card. We worked closely with Harry and the Flaming Fowl team to translate their vision into a bold, comprehensive identity.

Outcome

Through close collaboration, we built a brand that aligns with Flaming Fowl’s core values and resonates with their spice-loving audience. We developed a suite of social media and print materials to establish a consistent, professional visual language, delivering a cohesive brand ecosystem that successfully positioned them for the Australian market.

Concept Project: This is personal work created for a fictional brand to demonstrate specific design capabilities and creative exploration.

Strategy & Approach

Discovery & Strategy.

During a one-day facilitated session, we met with Harry and the Flaming Fowl team to map out the brand’s future. Together, we identified key challenges, such as differentiating the brand in a crowded hot sauce market and prioritising the needs of both the business and its customers.

To tackle these, we analysed current market trends to understand industry demand and shifting customer behaviour. We also conducted local market research to pinpoint exactly what the community looks for in a premium condiment. Based on these insights, we developed a comprehensive branding package tailored to their specific growth goals.

Customer-First Focus.

To keep the business aligned with its audience, we implemented a feedback system to capture customer ratings and suggestions for improvement. Regular team check-ins were also established to ensure the company's mission remains perfectly in sync with customer expectations.

Defining the Brand.

During our strategy session, we moved through a series of exercises to extract and refine the brand’s core pillars. This process helped define the Flaming Fowl personality, shaping how the brand should look, sound, and act. Our main objective was to establish a clear identity and profile the target customer, forming a strategic foundation for their marketing plans beyond 2024.

At Made by Campfire, we don’t simply design brands for clients, we design them with a customer-centric approach. This methodology allows us to develop brands that don't just look good, but effectively engage and resonate with the people they are meant for.

Brand Design - (re) branded!

With this project, Harry had originally started the design process and asked us to help carry his vision forward. When rebranding, it’s vital to consider the existing design and its significance. Understanding the history and legacy of the original identity allows for a thoughtful and strategic approach to the evolution.

By building upon what already worked well and resonated with the audience, we were able to maintain continuity.Honouring the previous design shows respect for the brand’s heritage while building trust with stakeholders and customers. Considering the past ensures our rebranding efforts are both effective and respectful of where the brand began.

The Outcome

We collaborated closely with the Flaming Fowl team to create a brand identity that aligned with their vision and values, ensuring it resonated with their target customers. In addition, we designed social media and print materials that reinforced the new direction and established a consistent visual language. The result was a comprehensive brand ecosystem that surpassed their expectations and positioned them for success.
