KIDDO partnered with our studio to develop the graphic design for a new national initiative aimed at getting children moving. Led by The University of Western Australia’s KIDDO program and supported by Healthway, this inaugural event encouraged educators and families to explore movement together. Our goal was to create a cohesive visual system that translated physical literacy research into engaging, actionable challenges for children nationwide.

The Scale of Movement

With more than 400 early childhood services and primary schools across Australia, representing over 37,000 children. We worked with KIDDO to bridge the gap between academic research and daily play. The project required a design language that was professional enough for educational institutions, yet vibrant and accessible for parents at home.

The heart of the project focused on three key areas of delivery:

Design for Utility & Engagement

  • Daily Challenge Packs: We designed a suite of activity cards intended for use in both high-energy classroom settings and quiet home environments. The focus was on high-readability typography and intuitive layouts to ensure the instructions were "clear and easy to follow" at a glance.
  • Print & Environmental Graphics: From large-scale posters to educational handouts, we maintained a consistent visual thread that helped schools transform their physical spaces into active learning zones.
  • Digital & Social Strategy: To drive national participation, we developed a comprehensive social media toolkit, allowing KIDDO to share the initiative’s message effectively across multiple digital platforms.

Activity Sheets:

The Result:

The initiative was met with high praise from both PE specialists and parents, who noted that the clarity of the design made it exceptionally easy to engage with the daily tasks. By removing the "complexity barrier," the visual identity helped empower thousands of children to build the skills and confidence needed for an active life.
